"None of us suddenly becomes something overnight. The preparations have been in the making for a lifetime.- Gail Goodwin

Here's the scene that Tara and I shot on Saturday. Kevin Herrera did a great job shooting & editing it and with a very fast turnaround! And just in case I get asked let me answer the question now... no I didn't shoot with the curly 'fro because it was a bad BAAAD hair day and I just couldn't do it. Next scene though, I will rock the fro!
Anyhow, here it is...

  1. Great job girls! I need to take a leaf out of your book...

Thanks Ophelia! And yes, go ahead and shoot something! At worst, you will have gotten some camera technique practice that you'll never show a soul. At best, you'll love what you shoot and can use it for your reel. Either way, it's win-win.

Great demo Brandi, was it expensive to get someone to shot and edit it for you?

  4. Brandi Ford Says:

Thanks! And no it wasn't expensive at all! He usually charges $200 to shoot, edit & color-correct a scene with 2 people but because we were all participating in the #ConnectionExperiment on Twitter (search that hashtag if you haven't heard of it) we paid a grand total of $50! Not bad for only $25 each. So if you're thinking of shooting a scene yourself tap into your network and see who has a camera who would be willing to do it for low to no-cost.
